FinanceKit Pro collects the absolute minimum amount of information necessary to operate our free financial tools and improve the user experience. Here is exactly what is and is not collected:

The page-view and session data collected through Google Analytics does not include your name, email address, exact IP address, or any financial figures you enter into our calculators. It is limited to aggregated statistics like "X people visited the EMI calculator from the United Kingdom today."

We want to be crystal clear about what we do not do. FinanceKit Pro was designed from day one to be a privacy-first free tool platform. The following data is never collected, stored, processed, or transmitted by FinanceKit Pro under any circumstances:

• Your full name, email address, phone number, or physical address
• Any loan amount, salary figure, investment value, or tax number you enter into any calculator
• BMI, weight, height, calorie intake, body fat percentage, or pregnancy data
• Crypto portfolio size, trading amounts, or profit/loss figures
• Credit card, bank account, or any payment details
• Social Security Number (SSN), National Insurance Number, or equivalent government ID
• Login credentials, passwords, or account information of any kind
• Location data beyond anonymized country-level (derived from IP by Google Analytics)
• Behavioral profiling data, browsing history outside our site, or cross-site tracking
• Biometric data or device fingerprinting data

FinanceKit Pro uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store a small amount of functional data to improve your experience. Here's exactly what is stored and why:

All localStorage data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to FinanceKit Pro servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. None of these entries contain personal identifiable information.

We also use Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) for anonymized usage statistics. These are set by Google's systems and are subject to Google's own privacy policy. IP anonymization is enabled.

We use Google AdSense cookies for non-personalized advertising. You can opt out via Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

FinanceKit Pro integrates with a small number of free, public third-party APIs to provide live financial data. These calls are made directly from your browser and do not pass through our servers. Here is a full list:

FinanceKit Pro does not integrate with Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Twitter Ads tracking, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any behavioral advertising network beyond Google AdSense's contextual system.

FinanceKit Pro is supported by Google AdSense, which allows us to keep all tools completely free and accessible worldwide. We have configured AdSense with the following privacy principles:

• Ads are contextual and non-personalized by default — they match the page content (e.g., finance tools = finance ads), not your browsing history
• We do not use remarketing or retargeting audiences based on FinanceKit Pro visits
• We do not participate in any behavioral advertising data co-operatives
• We comply with EU/UK consent requirements — users in regulated regions are served ads in compliance with Google's EU User Consent Policy
• You can opt out of personalized ads globally at adssettings.google.com or via your browser's privacy settings

We believe in an ad-light, user-first experience. The number of ad units displayed is kept minimal to ensure fast page load times and a clean interface — consistent with our Core Web Vitals optimization goals.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use FinanceKit Pro in aggregate. This helps us identify which tools are most useful, which pages load slowly, and where we can improve. Our GA4 setup is configured with:

• IP anonymization enabled — your full IP address is never stored; only a truncated, non-identifiable version is used to derive approximate country/region
• Data retention set to 14 months — analytics data is automatically deleted after this period
• Google Signals disabled — we do not allow cross-device tracking or linking to Google account profiles
• Advertising features disabled — we do not use GA4 for remarketing audience creation
• No user-ID tracking — since we have no accounts, there are no user IDs to track

In practice, we see reports like "FinanceKit Pro received 45,000 visits this month; 22% from the US, 8% from the UK, 6% from Germany." We never see individual user journeys, personally identifiable information, or financial data from any calculator.

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking on any website, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

FinanceKit Pro is used globally and we take compliance with local data protection laws seriously. Because we collect no personal data, we are in a strong position to comply with virtually every data privacy framework worldwide.

For EU/UK users (GDPR): Our lawful basis for processing the minimal anonymized analytics data we receive is Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, our legitimate interest in understanding which features to improve. Since we collect no personal data from calculators, there is no data subject to the rights of access, erasure, or portability in the normal sense. However, we fully honor all GDPR requests. For California users (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA. We do not maintain records of personal information about California consumers linked to specific individuals. You have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — but there is nothing to opt out of because we do not sell personal information.

If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (DPA). In the UK, this is the ICO (ico.org.uk). In Germany, it is the relevant Landesbeauftragter. We strongly encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve any concerns directly.

FinanceKit Pro is a general-audience financial tools website. Our tools include calculators that students and young people may use for education — such as the percentage calculator, GPA calculator, grade calculator, and basic math tools. We fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and equivalent laws globally.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for EU/UK purposes)
• Our tools do not require age verification because they collect no personal data from any user, child or adult
• We do not direct behavioral advertising at minors
• If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal information to us, contact support@financekit.tech and we will investigate and delete promptly

Since no personal data is collected by any FinanceKit Pro tool — from any user, regardless of age — our tools are inherently safe for young learners, students, and educators.

Our best security measure is architectural: since we collect no personal data, there is no database of user records to breach, no password hashes to steal, and no financial information to expose. However, we also implement standard web security practices:

• HTTPS everywhere: All pages are served over TLS/SSL encryption. HTTP connections are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
• No user database: There is no login system, no user accounts, and no server-side user profile storage.
• No form submissions to our servers: Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser's JavaScript engine and never transmitted anywhere.
• Content Security Policy (CSP) headers: Implemented to reduce XSS attack vectors.
• Minimal third-party scripts: We only load scripts from Google (Analytics, AdSense, Fonts) and no other third parties, reducing attack surface.
• Subresource Integrity (SRI): Planned for all external scripts to ensure tamper-proof delivery.

In the unlikely event of a security incident affecting any data we do hold (e.g., server-level access logs), we will notify affected parties and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by GDPR Article 33.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new tools we launch, changes in applicable law, or updates to third-party services we use. When we make material changes, we will:
